Kangana Ranaut recently expressed her opinion regarding the casting choices for the upcoming film "Ramayana" directed by Nitesh Tiwari. According to several reports, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are set to portray the roles of Goddess Sita and Lord Ram, while there are talks of Yash playing the role of Raavan. Kangana took to her Instagram Stories to share her criticism of the casting decisions.

In her lengthy note, Kangana referred to Ranbir Kapoor as a "skinny white rat" and criticized his previous film, where he portrayed Lord Shiva, stating that it did not receive much attention. She also accused him of engaging in underhanded PR tactics and being involved in womanizing and drug addiction. Kangana expressed her discontent with Ranbir Kapoor being chosen to play Lord Ram in the film.

On the other hand, she praised a young southern superstar, who is described as self-made, a devoted family man, and a traditionalist, highlighting that he resembles Lord Ram in terms of complexion, demeanor, and facial features. She questioned why this actor was offered the role of Raavan instead of Lord Ram, expressing her disapproval of the decision.

It should be noted that Ranbir Kapoor previously played the role of Shiva in the film "Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva," directed by Ayan Mukerji. The film is the first installment of a trilogy planned as part of the Astraverse cinematic universe. Alia Bhatt also starred in the film alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna.

According to a Pinkvilla report, Alia Bhatt was initially the first choice for the role of Sita in "Ramayana." However, due to scheduling conflicts, the dates couldn't align. After the film's delay, Nitesh Tiwari and producer Madhu Mantena decided to cast Alia in the role. The report also mentioned that Ranbir Kapoor is currently undergoing look tests for the film at the DNEG office. Additionally, it hinted at the possibility of Yash signing on to play Raavan. An official announcement regarding the film is expected to be made on Diwali this year.

Kangana Ranaut, known for her outspoken nature, will be seen in several upcoming projects. She is set to make her directorial debut with "Emergency," a film centered around the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, where she portrays the titular role. Kangana will also appear in "Tejas," "Chandramukhi 2," "Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda," and "The Incarnation: Sita."
